Question:
How do I know if a photo I like is one that you can paint from? Can I give you a photo? Can you take the photos for me?
Answer:
I prefer to take the photo myself; to insure that there is enough detail to paint from,
but if you have a LARGE as possible photo that you really like, I can use it - provided it is clear enough. –If you can see eyelashes, it is clear enough. If you have the negatives to give me, that’s even better. If you will be taking the photo yourself, please fill the frame as close as possible to the subjects, from head to waist, only…cropping out all background. Reason being, the closer the photo to the subjects (heads especially), the more detail will be available. If using a digital camera, please use the highest resolution possible. (tip; everyone close, hugging even with A pleasant smile, rather than a big toothy grin always looks best, but that’s up to you, of course J)

-otherwise, the best bet is if you can come to our home in Skokie, and I will take the pictures with my hi-res digital camera. Then YOU will pick the ones YOU like best (shown to you on my computer) It takes about an hour total – approx. 20 minutes of which to shoot the photos
Question:
What if I don’t like the portrait when it is finished?
Answer:
I guarantee all my portrait work! I have never had a problem in the past…but should you be unhappy with your portrait upon completion, and it is something that is not “fixable”….then I keep it, you pay me nothing.
